Compensation projects

We are carbon neutral (scope 1 and 2 emissions tCO2EQ). This achievement has been made possible by the Group’s investment in two carbon offset projects in Spain and Mexico in 2024.

Project 1
Reforestation of Socos de Gencianal, Hoyo Casero, Ávila, Spain
This is an action project that enables the automatic reforestation of deforested areas through forest repopulation. The aim is to reforest permitted areas using the homemade hole method. In addition, a monitoring system will be implemented to oversee the success of the repopulation and maintenance of the forest created.
Project 2
Bii Nee Stipa Grid-Connected Wind Farm, México
This project will increase the percentage of energy from renewable sources in Mexico's electricity grid. It involves the installation of a wind farm connected to the grid with an installed capacity of 26 state-of-the-art wind turbines. This system will generate a significant amount of clean energy that will contribute to sustainable development in the region. The project is expected to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases and create more than 80 jobs in the area.
