EULEN Environment participates in a seminar on forest restoration in the Guadalquivir River Basin.

EULEN Environment participated in the Seminar “Hydrological and forest restoration. Current status and future needs of the river basins” that took place in the Guadalquivir River Basin Assembly Room in Seville, organized by the Association of Forest and Landscape Enterprises of Andalusia, whose president is Justo Martínez -Technical Director at EULEN-, and the Association of Landscape and Environment Restorers.

The event was a well attended by government representatives, technicians, scientists and entrepreneurs with the aim of analyzing the projects that are being promoted in environmental matters for the restoration of river basins.

In respect of the tables, featured rapporteurs participated, such as speakers from the Tagus, Guadiana and even from the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederations, the Andalusia Regional Government through the Regional Council of Environment, the Ministry of the Environment with the G.M. of Water and the public company Tragsa.

The Workshops were divided into three tables: the first one was a scientific table where a scientific view of the hydrological-forest restoration and its enhancement occurred. The second table with a technical overview of the restorations, investments, projects, procurement systems and models of other basins, and a third table where an institutional and corporate vision of the Hydrological-Forestry activities, funding, job creation and protection of the natural environment was shown.
